TGIF – Thank Goodness it’s FEBRUARY!

Gosh, January took forever and a year!  Actually, the first part of January wasn’t too bad, but the second half draaaaaaaaaaaged.

With it being February, comes another installment of Prime Purchases!  Coming off of Christmas, I was really careful to not spend a bunch during the month of January, so this is going to be a really odd assortment of items…

Eliza and Jon’s Daddy/Daughter Dance is on Saturday and back in the middle of January I ordered three dresses in hopes that one would work.  The first two were big misses and I anxiously awaited the arrival of the third.  I was actually getting really worried and even started to call around to find an appropriate dress for a 9 year old girl who is also in a size 14/16/18…it fluctuates depending on the brand.

I sent the other two dresses back and this dress arrived and you guys, I was super impressed.  Eliza looks and feels like a princess and I can’t wait to show you more next week.  I wish the Amazon picture showed more of the front, but she was all about the bow and all the fluff!  It’s perfect and very age appropriate!

Eliza’s Daddy Daughter Dance Dress

Every princess needs a hoop skirt!  LOL!  For some reason Eliza caught wind that hoop skirts exist.  I found this hoop skirt for about ten bucks and she loves it.  She’s even been wearing it while she and Jane play together and it makes my heart oh-so-happy that she’s still dressing up…it was worth the ten dollars just for that very reason.

….aaaaaaaaaand of course, girlfriend needed shoes.  Eliza is in women’s size 7…not sure how that happened.  So this was also EXTREMELY difficult to find.  Originally Eliza wanted a Cinderella type shoe, but being she’s in women’s sizing, well, those clear shoes ended up looking more like, well…you know…NOT age appropriate at. all.
We also went to an actual store and they had nothing for her.  So after looking and looking, we came across these shoes with FANTASTIC reviews AND they were on an awesome sale!!!!!  The heel isn’t too tall, nor is it too narrow.  They come in all different pretty colors and we were/are super impressed!
Our Ninja coffee maker started to leak, so I needed a new machine and to be honest, I just wasn’t picky, so Jon found this little machine with great reviews.  Someday I could see us buying an espresso machine with all the gadgets, but for now I still live for driving into town for some mommy reprieve and grabbing myself a little caffeinated reward for all that I do. 😉

YOU GUYSSSSS!!!!!  This product has been LIFE-CHANGING for me.  For years and years and years I’ve suffered from eczema on my upper back, it’s so bad that I wouldn’t wear tank tops and if I wore a swimsuit I’d keep my hair down to keep my back covered.  My back was covered in red flaky, almost pimple like dots since being a teen.  Even in my wedding dress I was very much embarrassed by my back, so I made sure to grow out my hair and wear it down… I mean, it’s affected me time and time again.  I finally went to a dermatologist when Henry and Eliza were little, but I was nursing so they couldn’t give me what I needed.  I had purchased this lotion for Eliza for her skin and one day I decided to use it on my back and, I kid you not, my back was smooth and soft OVER NIGHT!!!!!  I was no longer itching and no longer hiding.  My back is scarred from the years of eczema, but I’m way more confident!  In fact, we went to a waterpark during New Years and I wore my hair up in a swimsuit and it felt sooooo amazing!!!  All I ever needed was this cream and I now stand by it forever!!!!!

Jon’s dental office donates a purse every year for our local Power of the Purse event.  I was scrolling through our Amazon Purchases and saw these had been purchased.  Originally, I thought Jon had bought them for my birthday and I was suuuuper pumped, it turns out that the ladies at his office bought this pack for the theme of the purse they’re donating.  I’m posting it here, because 1. Jon if you see this, I’ll take these anytime and 2. for you all to enjoy!  I mean, look how fun!

I posted about this mascara the other day for my Friday Favorites and you guys, I’m still really loving it!!!  I even went for a run outside today and I didn’t have a smudge to show for it and my lashes still looked really pretty!

Okay, so that’s it for the month of January!  This next month should be fun as we prepare for our spring break trip to 30A at the end of March!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and shopping with me!!

  1. Adding that lotion to my cart now; just in the past two years I have had eczema flare up right at the nape of my neck and it's so itchy this time of year with sweaters hitting that exact same spot.

  2. Love the dress and the shoes. She will be the "belle of the ball" for sure. I've used CeraVe for years, the best! So glad you liked the tunic top on my list. Just a suggestion, wash it before wearing it as it softens it perfectly. I damp dry it and then hang it to finish drying.
