Fall Home Tour

Happy fall to one and all!
It certainly feels like fall here in Michigan.  The temperature dropped down to 47 degrees on Saturday night with clouds, rain and wind…all the fall essentials…and you know what?  I didn’t mind it.  If we’re going to do this “fall thing” then let’s make it a true fall.  However, I must say, snow, you’re not invited.  Not yet, anyway. 😉
Now, normally I’d begin this tour out on our porch, however we’ve yet to visit the pumpkin patch, so that’ll have to be another blog post.  While we all wait for the pumpkins to arrive, let’s take a look inside our home, shall we?
Let’s start over at our fireplace and mantel.
I made this mantel last year right before Christmas and I’ve enjoyed decorating it ever since.  Although, this is the most it’s been decorated and I must say that I’m definitely a “mantel-decor-fan.”  I absolutely love how having a decorated mantel seems to add a bit of coziness and charm to a room.

We (Jon, myself and the kids) recently traveled over to the Painted Farm Girl Flea hosted by The Painted Farm Girl and Liz Marie Galvan (aka Liz Marie Blog).  While there, I purchased this vintage toolbox.  Isn’t it the cutest?

I made this print by using Picmonkey and I bought this frame on clearance from the grocery store!  It was simple, easy and cheap!  #winning

Nothing says fall like apples and mums, right?  So why not use them to decorate your home?  I love how the apples offer a bright fall color against this otherwise neutral palette.  FYI – most of these apples have since been eaten!

While at the flea market, I also purchased this cute vintage tool holder/storage thingy <—yup, that’s what I’m calling it.  It was exactly what I was looking for and I love its utility.  We’ve been using it in so many different ways!  I thought for fall it’d be cute to display pretty white chrysanthemums in mason jars and white spray painted pumpkins.

Welp, that’s my little tour.  What did you think?
“…Wait.  Marie, don’t you have kids?  Where are their cute Halloween decorations?”

Okay.  You got me.  Perhaps next time I’ll share a kid-inspired fall tour?!  Just be prepared for lots of construction paper.  You’ve been warned! 😉  Stay tuned. 🙂
Thank you so much for stopping by my little blog!
Have a wonderful day and enjoy the fall air out there, people. 🙂
XO,
Marie 🙂
