Rubber Band Spray Painted Vase

Today I wanted to share an incredibly simple and cheap project that I’ve been meaning to do for quite some time – A Rubber Band Spray Painted Vase.  Golf claps, please.

I’m sure you’ve seen this project on Pinterest – possibly here, here or even here.  All you need is a glass vase, some rubber bands and a can of spray paint.  I already had all these items on hand which meant this project was Freeeeee!

As you can see – you just wrap the rubber bands around the vase as seen above.  You can straighten them out and make them flat if you want it to be absolutely perfect.  I did no such thing.  (Guys, I had 2.5 seconds to do this and to be honest, the imperfections haven’t bother me, in fact I like it that much more!)

I ventured outside and sprayed on one coat of spray paint and DONE!

Easy.

Then, I had to decide where I was going to put the vase.  Welp, my fireplace mantel has been looking a wee-bit lonesome since Christmas, so the vase found a perfect home up on the mantel, next to my Hobby Lobby mirror.

I threw in some twigs from my front yard and BOOM!  Free again and done.

What do you think?  It always amazes me at how much of a difference a little paint can make.

XOXO,
Marie 🙂

  1. Looks so cool! This is one I've had pinned in my "gonna try" board, but haven't gotten to it yet. Maybe I will now! 🙂
