Hello Monday - Amazon Halloween Finds

Well, hello there, Monday!

Today I woke up with an agenda for today to be a great day!  Jane and I ran some errands, we decorated the house with lots of, as Jane would say, "pooky" (spooky) goodies, I got in a stroller run and we visited a park.  Now here I am, coffee in hand and blogging!  Woohoo!

I'm determined to blog even if it's only once a week - so here I am for another HELLO MONDAY!

I'm joining in on the Monday fun and linking up with My Glittery HeartThe Other Side of the Road and The Sirois Family!

I thought it'd be fun to share some Halloween Finds from Amazon!

Some of these items I've ordered and some I'd love to purchase.  Let's take a looksy!

Decorating with bats is such a simple and affordable way to add a little Halloween to every day home decor.  This package came with three sized bats which means there are various ways to display them.  I currently have these bats in our home and they're absolutely perfect!

Bats

This garland could look adorable on a mantel or in a kid's bedroom.

Major bonus - it comes pre-assembled!

I currently have similar candle holders in our living room.  While they don't necessarily scream, "Halloween," they do add a bit of contrast.  Also, these could easily transition into Thanksgiving and Christmas with a bit of rearranging of decor.

A little orange and black garden flag outside of the home could be adorable!  I soooo wanted to order this but I currently can't find the flag holder.  Face palm to the max!

Okay, so this sign is simple, but adds just enough of that Halloween magic.  I'm considering buying it ooooooorrrr making something similar?  Hmmm...what's a girl to do?!  What do you think?  Should I order this or get my creative juices a-flowin'?!

I've seen a lot of adorable mugs lately, including this simple pumpkin mug.  OMG!  I also saw a witch cauldron mug for five dollars over at Target the other day.  I may need both.  If you get either this one or the cauldron I'd love to see a cute IG story with it!

I mean.  Black and white napkins.  Totally loving theses.  Total Beetlejuice vibes.

More signs.  Gah!  These are the CUTEST!

Anything Buffalo Check screams September - December, am I right!?!

This adorable pumpkin pillow cover could look adorable in an entryway, on a couch or on a bed.  I did see that some people ordered it, but the spelling was wrong.  From recent reviews it seems as though the issue has been resolved.  Just a little warning on that end of things...still, it's an adorable little pillow!

Anything object that emits any sort of light/twinkle in the fall evenings have my heart.  These lanterns would look great in a kitchen, on a coffee table or outside.  The reviews seem great!

Lastly, these witch hats!  I purchased these about a week ago and, you guys, I was not disappointed.  I was expecting them to be small and flimsy, but oh-my-gosh, they're actual head-sized witch hats.  So much so that the kids have been wearing them around!  These are so much fun.  I've been seeing them on fireplaces, in playrooms, on front porches...so many adorable ideas!  Go order yourself some!

Thanks a bunch for stopping by, I appreciate it more than you know!

Have the best day EVER,

Marie :)

Hello Monday

Hello, Monday!

You arrived far too fast!

I'm joining in on the Monday fun and linking up with My Glittery Heart, The Other Side of the Road and The Sirois Family for Hello Monday.

This past week we've been getting into the swing of things with all-things-school and extra-curricular activities and, boy, it's all contributed to one exhausted Mama!

Two Saturdays ago was Henry's first ever soccer game.  He wasn't a fan of trying out soccer at first but we thought having him try something a little out of his comfort zone would be good for him and I'm happy to report that he's loving it!

Also, this officially makes me a SOCCER MOM!!!  Woo to the Hoo!

Now, I never played a soccer game in my life and this game was the first I've ever actually watched from start to finish and guess what?!  I think I loved it just as much as Henry!  It was a blast!  It helps that his coach is phenomenal and is such an encouraging optimist while the kids are out on the field.  We'll be playing until the very end of October and I'm anxiously thrilled to watch Henry progress.

Later that weekend all three kids wanted to go on a tube ride together - Jane wore her Tinker Bell dress, of course, the perfect tubing garb.  ;) LOL!
Jon and I quickly realized that for the first time all three kids were behind the boat and it was just the two of us!  I can't believe we're to this point!

On Sunday, Eliza and I decided that it's never too early to begin decorating for Halloween, so she pulled up a chair and helped me out.

I'm forcing myself to do a little Halloween/Fall Home Tour this year - so keep an eye out for that!

Eliza loved helping with the witch hats on the fireplace!  We've since added more to this space and we plan to add pumpkins and possibly a cauldron, too!  I can't wait to share more!

Now, please ignore the potty seat.  We're about to begin potty training and it's clean, I promise, but I couldn't help but share my little assistant/painter.

I went to the paint store to try out a sample paint and within a matter of hours I had completely transformed this bathroom.  There's still a lot to be done, but by mid week it should be finished.  I'll definitely share the new and improved space on the blog, too!  EEK!  It looks sooooo much better!

Since potty training is right around the corner I decided to take Jane to the store to pick out some big girl undies.  She ended up picking out Disney Princess undies.  How is this happening?!  I'm excited for her but beyond terrified of the potty training days ahead of me.  I'll be sure to keep you posted on all-things-potty-training, too!  Ha!

Jane also had her first day of Kindermusik.  She's looking so big these days.

On Friday, Jon and I went on a much needed day date.  We went to Target, test drove a mini van and went out to dinner.  We were done eating by 7:30 and then decided to run into Bath and Body Works, Five Below and TJMaxx.  I hadn't been into any of those stores in ages.  We were home by 9-ish...Hahaha!  Oh adulthood!

The food was the best part - not having to cook or clean up.  Amen to that!

On Sunday we took the kids on their last boat ride for the season, Henry played his Trumpet, I taught Eliza how to do a cartwheel and we had a nice slow day in preparation for the week ahead!

...and there you have it!  Our past week-ish in a nutshell!

Thanks for stopping by!

Friday Favorites

Hey hey hey - It's Friday!

Today I come to you with some of my Friday Favorites and I'll be joining in on some Friday fun with these lovely ladies...

Andrea - Momfessionals
Erika - A Little Bit of Everything

ONE

Henry and Eliza are back in school which means Jane and I finally get to spend some much needed quality time together.  As you can see, Jane lives mostly in all-things-Disney-princess.  This was my doing and I'm not ashamed of it.  Bahaha!

The first day of school for Henry and Eliza was also the beginning of Mommy's School of Ladies and Manners for this little one.  Haha!

Our first visit to the library (can you say pandemic toddler?)...

I've been trying really hard to come up with fun ideas for Jane while I prepare dinner - otherwise known as the witching hour that lasts from the hours of 4 to 7.  Who else knows what I'm talking about?!  Phew those hours can be something fierce.

I was so proud of my cardboard castle play dough activity.  ;)

We've been making our rounds to the parks.  Jane climbed all the way to the top herself while donning her sister's hand-me-down Peppa Pig nightgown/dress, of course.  :)

Creating and loving it...

Jane has a new potty seat and it made its way into the front foyer.  We're not actively potty training quite yet, but this potty has made it so that she understands the concept a bit better...

Lots of nature walks/bike rides and by nature walks/bike rides, I mean anything Jane finds in the road or on the side of the road...

Bubbles.

Jane smiling while she helped me clean the front porch rocking chairs...

This quality time has been THE BEST.  Love her.

TWO

A new-ish piano.

Henry and Eliza took piano lessons last school year and when the opportunity arose to obtain a piano for free Jon and I jumped on the opportunity.  We moved this piano all by ourselves and I have no idea how we managed it, but it's here and we're loving it.

The woman who gifted us this free piano taught piano for all of her adult life and gave me her blessing to paint it.  Once home I understood one of the reasons why.  It seemed as though a student in his/her frustration etched a word that begins with the letter, F, behind the music books.  It wasn't until we were home that I noticed and it's still funny to me.  We were sure to keep the word hidden from the kids the entire time before it was painted.

I've since painted the piano with some Rustoleum paint and it's looking lovely in our living room.

I still have to move the pictures behind it and probably change them out since Jane now exists. ;)

Now for the kids to start their lessons up again on Monday and we'll be good to go!

THREE

Have any of you been using the Dawn Platinum Powerwash?  If so, isn't it amazing?!  If not, you must give it a try!  This stuff is powerful.  Combined with a Magic Eraser and it's that much better.  Jon and I used the  wash/eraser combination to clean the vinyl on our boat and it worked beautifully.  I've even started to use the Dawn Platinum Powerwash to clean my stainless still appliances and it works really well!  Of course, be careful when using it, but so far, so good over here!

Our outdoor rocking chairs with just the Dawn Platinum Powerwash.

Before...

After...

AMAZING!!!

Jane's Hunter boots with the Dawn Platinum Powerwash and a Magic Eraser!  Soap and water just wouldn't cut it!

FOUR

We've been watching lots of shows and series over the past year.  We just finished Downton Abbey and loved it!  Jon and I were just discussing that we should print off a picture of Cousin Violet and proudly display her in our home and refer to her as our Aunt - we just love her!

We're now watching Game of Thrones and so far it's great.  Our favorite show to date is Outlander and we're anxiously awaiting the new season to come out in 2022!

Also, we watch all of these show with subtitles.  Anyone else out there do the same?

FIVE

My fall window boxes from last year!

I loved putting these together and they looked great until well after Thanksgiving.  I've yet to plan anything for this year's boxes, so I should probably start the process soon!

SIX

Eliza's first day of dance!

She's taking acro and doesn't really know anyone else in her class aaaaaaaand this is an entirely new studio for her.  That's a lot of new in one sentence, but she did amazing and loved class.  She told me, and I quote, "They played sassy music!"  She also mentioned something about all the girls wearing scrunchies and how they all looked like VSCO girls.  Part of that statement was like a foreign language to me.  LOL! She's a hoot!

Welp, there you have it!  My Friday Favorites!

Thanks so much for joining me!

Have a beautiful weekend out there, friends.

Best Wishes,

Marie :)
