Friday Favs - Disney Must-Haves from Amazon!

Happy Friday (oops, it's Saturday now), friends!  Let's talk Disney for my "Friday Favorites," shall we?

Let's face it, when planning a trip to Disney one must accessorize.  So I'm here today to share with you some Disney essentials from over on Amazon.  About half of these items I had purchased for our most recent trip to DisneyWorld back in February (you can read more about our trip here - Days 1, 2, 3, Day 4, Days 5 &6, Day 7) and a few of the items are things I wish I had purchased.

Let's start with something I didn't buy, but wish I would have.  As some of you may know, our flight from Detroit to Orlando was canceled due to an incoming snow storm so we took it upon ourselves to make the adult decision to buckle up, settle in and make the twenty hour drive to Orlando.

This Mad Libs book would've been so fun for Henry while en route!  However, had we flown, I still think this would've been a fun thing to have for the flight instead of two-and-a-half hours of playing on a tablet...like I originally had planned.  ;)

Have you heard of Eye Found It?

We love this game!

We currently don't own this smaller version, but if this is anything like the larger board game version, then I'm sure it's a blast!  This would also be a fantastic Easter basket stuffer. ;)

I can absolutely guarantee you that you'll see at least three women wearing this shirt (just as I did) if you end up going to Disney this spring/summer...and I can see why - it's adorable!  This seems to be the IT shirt of Disney shirts from Amazon.  I had it in my cart at one time, but it somehow, someway never got ordered!  Bummer.

Same deal with this one!  I'm thinking this shirt, and the one above, were in the same basket.  I even had exciting plans to take a cute Instagram photo with this one while on our voyage to Disney.  Please, please buy this so that I may live vicariously through you!  Haha!  ;)

I want to wear this shirt every single day.  Every.Single.Day.  Want, want, want!

Okay, so now onto some items that I actually did purchase...

I bought this and looooved the relaxed fit.

I bought a shirt similar to this one (actually Eliza picked it out) for Jon and it ended up being one of Jon's favorite shirts!  I do believe he received a thumbs up or a high five from THE Donald Duck whilst sporting this shirt - WooHoo!

These!

I loved these Mickey/Minnie ears.

Eliza managed to lose her Minnie ears two years ago and it was soooo nice not to be too worried about her having lost them, nor did we spend any time looking for them; especially considering that time is of the essence while at Disney.  ;)  Luckily, I had an extra pair in our backpack and we moved on.  Also, these headbands/ears are flat and are perfect to display in a shadow box once home from a Disney vacation.

We bought these, too.  I loved the pretty red bow.  :)

We all know Florida can get hot and humid.  So when looking for hats for the kids, I found these coordinating hats with actual Mickey and Minnie ears!  Oh my goodness, these were perfect.  If the kids took their hats off for a ride, I just snapped the backs of the hats onto my purse.

Easy Peasy.

These lanyards were AWESOME!

If your kids are going to trade pins or collect coins, these lanyards are the way to go.  I ordered them at the last minute (thank you, Amazon Prime), and wasn't sure how much the kids would actually utilize them.

YOU GUYS!!!

They ended up being the best thing EVER!  I loved how the kids were responsible for their own coins.  These lanyards were a game changer (ha! - pun intended)!

I loved, loved, loved these!!!!

These autograph books (another item I ordered at the last minute - hail to the Prime!) can be found in the parks.  I do believe they're a tad cheaper than on Amazon.  HOWEVER, once you're in the park and you have a chance to grab an autograph from a character (especially if it's a short line), the last thing you'll want to do is go on an autograph-book-hunt!

I loved that we had them on hand as soon as we walked into Disney on day one.

Lastly, this bathing suit I purchased for Eliza.

You guys, this suit was so.stinkin'.cute.  The fit was perfection and Eliza rocked it!

BONUS!!!

These items aren't from Amazon.  BUT, if you're looking to find some additional shirts or some matching family shirts, here are a couple more items that I ended up purchasing from Etsy!  I was super pleased with the customer service, as well as the quality of these products!

Disney 2018 - Day 7 - Hollywood Studios

Here it is, you guys!  The last day of our Disney vay-cay!

You know how some people tire of a vacation, have had enough and are ready to go home?  Yeah, well, that was soooo not me.

Fortunately, we still had an entire day at Hollywood Studios, which I'm excited to visit again in the future due to all their new upcoming attractions!

Hollywood Studios, as of right now, offers a lot of shows.  I was sure to organize the order of showtimes throughout the day.

Also, real quick tip for ya', you don't really want to waste FastPasses on shows, as it's highly likely you'll get in as long as you're in line about 20-30 minutes before the show (depending on whether it's in demand or not).  For instance, The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast - don't use a FastPass.  The Frozen show?  Well, we didn't FastPass it this time around (we did get in line about twenty minutes before it began), but two years ago it was a MUST in regards to FastPassing.

Anyhoo, our first FastPass for the day was Toy Story Mania!!!  We love, love, love this ride!  So much fun!

We stopped to take in some Storm Troopers.  I've tried to get the kids interested in Star Wars, but they just don't seem to care.  Gah!

A couple quick snapshots before Frozen...

I thought my outfit was Disney worthy AND oh-so-comfy.  I made that hubby of mine capture the moment.  Ha!

Eliza and Grandma...

Our FastPass for Tower of Terror had been stalled due to the ride needing maintenance.  We had some downtime, so we went to visit Chip and Dale.  It kind of worked out because the kids, for some reason, had been asking to see them.  I wasn't even sure the kids knew who they were!

Whatevs.

*shrugs shoulders*

Oh my gosh, you guys!  They were so cute and funny!

We ventured over to watch my favorite show, Beauty and the Beast!  I could've sat there all day and watched it.  I love me some Gaston - he is, in my opinion, one of THE best Disney villains out there!

We happened to sit far off to the side and I was concerned about what we would and wouldn't be able to see, but to tell you the truth, it was a comfortable place to sit and I/we didn't feel crowded by lots of people...

Next up, we walked over to The Chinese Theater.  I was tooootally bummed when I found out back in the fall that The Great Movie Ride had since closed.  That ride was crazy nostalgic for me, BUT, it's getting turned into a Mickey themed-ride, so that'll be exciting!

Some of my favorite people/performers and their handprints!

Who knows if Hollywood Studios is going to keep these, so I just HAD to get some pics!

My in-laws went over to look inside the 50's Prime Time Cafe while we utilized the opportunity to get a photo with Daisy.  Eliza had been asking and asking to find Daisy and we were thrilled to learn she was out and about!

We jumped on another PhotoPass opportunity...

Henry hula hooped in the streets.

He made friends with one of the women working the hula hoops.  Oh my goodness, he was so cute to watch.  At first brother couldn't hula hoop at all...I mean...at all.  He looked a lot like me.  I can't hula hoop for the life of me. But the woman encouraged Henry to keep going.  Brother finally did it!  I loved sitting back and watching it happen.

We still had to wait on our Tower of Terror FastPass as it had been closed for a second time.  It was sort of messing with my schedule, but when in Disney, be adaptable!

I got us into Brown Derby a little earlier than was previously reserved so that we could still ride Tower of Terror and be able to make Fantasmic later in the evening.

The Brown Derby was super nice inside and the food was delicious.  I just really wish the meals would've come with at least a salad.  It was expensive.  The in-laws paid (thanks again, guys!), and for as expensive it was, I just wish more would've come with the meal.

Last time we went to Hollywood Studios, we ate at Hollywood and Vine, and it was a delicious buffet.  I've heard amazing things about the 50's Cafe, that my in-laws happened to be looking at just a couple hours earlier, but at the time, I didn't really know what the 50's Prime Time Cafe was all about.  Gah!  I really think the in-laws would've enjoyed eating there!  Hopefully they'll go again with us in the future and we can hit up that 50's styled Cafe (right, guys?!).  ;)

The most expensive hot dog you'll ever see...  ;0

I will say, the floors inside the bathroom at the Brown Derby had my heart-a-flutterin'!

All.The.Heart.Eyed.Emojis.

After dinner, we walked over to The Tower of Terror....yup...after dinner!  Yikes!

And yes, we took both kids on it.  We told them it was just an elevator ride...we just omitted the fact that it fell 13 stories.  They were also a tad spooked by the interior of the ride with the cobwebs and all.  I just kept saying that someone needed to dust!

Eliza rode it, too.  She can't be seen in the picture below since she's clutching onto me and I'm clutching onto her.  I'd say she and I spent the majority of the ride with our eyes shut.

My in-laws were sooooo excited to ride The Tower of Terror.  I was nervous it wasn't going to happen as it kept closing.  Oh my gosh, I'm so happy we got on.  George's face says it all.  The video of him on this ride had me cracking up.  He looks waaaaay too happy for being on such a scary ride!  I've NEVER seen anyone on a ride like that look so cool, calm and collected.  He was really taking it in!

One last thing, look at the couple behind me.  You guys.  YOU GUYS!  When the pictures and video showed up on my app, I died laughing!!!  So, soooo funny!!!

Last up, Fantasmic.  Eliza and Henry weren't exactly happy with us for taking them on The Tower of Terror, so we were hoping Fantasmic would help soften their feelings of us and of Disney.

It did the trick!

This was the last show we watched the last time we were here and I think it's such a magical thing to do before leaving the parks, especially since it's centered around Mickey Mouse!  I'm not kidding, I started to cry a little when it was over...

Henry waited the entire week to pick out his souvenir.  Eliza picked Pua, the pig from Moana, the second day we were at Disney, so we told Henry he could pick something out, too.  In true Henry fashion, he waited until the eleventh hour to pick out his toy to ensure we was getting the best of anything he had seen while in the parks.

This boy.  :)

We rode the boat back to our resort and boy-oh-boy was it looking pretty...

We had been missing Eliza's backpack since day one, so I finally, FINALLY went and inquired about it.  While in the lobby I made sure to take a couple of pictures of the interior.  Gosh this place was pretty...

We enjoyed another drink with the in-laws, the kiddos had some water, and then we all headed up to our rooms.

We packed all the Disney goodies, packed up the car, I sat on the balcony one last time to take in the fun nightlife, I soaked up the warm air, kissed the kids goodnight and then we all hit the hay...

The next morning we woke up nice and early to get on the road and also to ensure we'd get through Atlanta before rush hour.  Eliza's backpack was eventually found and sent to us about a week later.  Lots of pictures were taken and lots of memories were made.

Disney was, yet again, magical...
