Hey guys! Welcome back and if you've been reading these super long Disney recaps of mine (Days 1, 2 & 3 here) - thank you!
Day four of our Disney vacation was an early one. I'm not sure who was the most excited? Me or the kids? But let me just say that I had absolutely no problem waking up early and getting around.
Magic Kingdom opened at 8 a.m. this day and as much as I wanted to get there even earlier, we were still up and at em and on the bus by 7:30 a.m. As you can see, Eliza was a bit sleepy.
Eliza was still trying to wake up even as we entered the park. Mama on the other hand was fully alert and ready to do all-things-Magic-Kingdom!
Once inside, we were all smiles and wide eyed and bushy tailed!
Love this pic. However, I do need to apologize to Eliza for my arm being around her like that. I was just way too excited! Hahaha!
Since we arrived early, we hopped on as many rides as possible before using our first FastPass.
First up: Tomorrowland Speedway.
I loved watching this girl drive! I took video of her driving, too - it's hilarious!
Next up, Dumbo and The Barnstormer.
We didn't have to wait for either of these rides and the kids, of course, loved them!
We then race walked (running at Disney isn't allowed) over to Under the Sea (the Little Mermaid ride). Eliza ended up crying ...yeah, tears on the Little Mermaid ride *biggest eye roll ever*.
We then headed over to Enchanted Tales with Belle. Our wait was maybe, maybe five minutes for both. We were out of breath from mall walking from attraction to attraction, but it was so worth it! ;)
Also, for Enchanted Tales with Belle, Eliza was picked to be Chip! I was so excited for her and she looked like she was going to participate. Unfortunately she and I made eye contact, tears were filling her ducts and within seconds it was all over.
Luckily, Henry stepped up to the plate. Phew!
Oh and one more thing, Henry mentioned something about Lumiere not being real because he could see him attached to the wall. I was on my mom game, yet again, and told him Lumiere was indeed attached to the wall and that was his harness so that he wouldn't fall; he's a heavy candlestick and falling on kids' heads wouldn't make for a fun morning
LOL! I gave myself another internal mom high five.
At the end of the ride, Jon saw his name and the kids' names on a screen as we were leaving! We never Fastpassed this, so we're thinking our Magic Bands linked us up as being on the ride.
Next up was our first FastPass, Peter Pan's Flight. I love the Peter Pan ride, it's incredibly nostalgic and, to me, the music just screams, "Disney!" If you're going to Disney with little kids, be sure to FastPass this ride. You'll be happy you did!
We took a quick family picture before heading over to the Mad Tea Cup Ride.
Spinning, but not too much spinning... Daddy couldn't handle the spinning... ;)
We used our second FirstPass on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! We loved this rollercoaster two years ago and we couldn't wait to ride it again! Eliza was only two and Henry was four when they rode it last time, so we were interested to see what they thought about it this time around.
Henry thought it was so cool and surprise, surprise, Eliza cried. I think she secretly loved it though.
Ahhh! So fun!
See? She loved it!!!
Okay, let me try again.
She loved it!!! ;)
After Seven Dwarfs, we took some potty breaks, we found some more coin presses and went to our last FastPass - Splash Mountain; which turned out be Henry's MOST FAVORITE ride within all the parks. Eliza, of course, cried. Honestly, her crying was expected by this point, but we just kept marching on...
After a super successful morning of rides and attractions and a few crocodile tears, we entered the castle for the kids' appointments at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
Eliza picked out her dress and we purchased a Knight shirt for Henry.
My handsome Knight...
Eliza got her hair and nails done! They also put makeup on her (she got to keep the entire makeup kit, too).
Eliza in the zone...
Her red hair extensions had us cracking up!
Oh and they didn't forget about Jon! Haha!
Overall, we were incredibly pleased with the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Eliza felt like a Princess and she was given face jewels, makeup, nail polish, a sash, a bag, a crown, the red hair extensions, the combs they used on her hair and shampoo and facial wipes for her makeup. Henry was all about his shield and sword. In fact he's been playing with them since we arrived back at home!
After a 4,925,185 pictures were taken we then walked over to Main Street to secure a spot for the Festival of Fantasy Parade, which started at 3.
We found a curb in the shade and secured our spot around 2:15. We used this time to sit and eat snacks. Jon walked across the street to the "Bakery" to grab us some Starbucks.
By the time the parade was at our location it was 3:15. The hour long wait didn't seem too bad since we had been on the go all morning. Our view of the parade and the fact we were able to comfortably sit the entire time made arriving early totally worth it!
Next up, we hopped on the People Mover, a great ride that is long and slow and one that never seems to have a long wait even in the middle of the day. We only had time for one ride before our fancy dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table!!!!!
We met Cinderella inside her castle before heading upstairs for dinner...
I'm sure the kids were excited, but I'm certain I was making this exact same face the majority of the time!!!
I forgot to take a picture of mine before I cut it up...Oops.
The kids' desserts. Make your own cupcakes! That carriage you see on the plate was made of chocolate!
Alas, we had to leave once we finished our meal. Boo! I managed to snap a few more pictures as we left the castle...
The windows of the restaurant...
The park was closing at 6 for a special event, but luckily I had FastPassed one more ride, Aladdin's Magic Carpet, before having to leave. We were the second to last group to ride before getting kicked out. It was the perfect ride to end the day...and guess what? Eliza didn't cry! WooHoo!!
We actually didn't mind having to leave the park early. We wanted to hit up the pool after a long day and this Mama was in need of some hot tub time! After a long day, it was the perfect ending to a successful day at the Magic Kingdom!
Thanks for stopping by for another long Disney Recap!!!
Have a MAGICAL day,
